How to work safely at heights has always been a concern for many in the oil & gas industry. Our clients take comfort in the proven fact that first and foremost, safety is the main concern when we consider which access method our teams will use. We have developed many techniques in blending scaffolding, safety netting and rope access and used them on a wide variety of offshore projects. The key to our success is simple, it is in knowing when to use a particular form or combination of access techniques to increase efficiency whilst always putting safety first.

Scaffolding is used and usually installed by our rope access trained personnel for prolonged projects, normally where stationary work platforms are required or where other tradesmen need access.

Safety netting is used in conjunction with Rope access to aid in safety and efficiency in demolition and installation on engineering projects or larger blasting/coating jobs. Again we can install horizontal lifelines for access by other tradesman.

Rope access allows us to perform duties in areas that would normally be difficult to reach using conventional fall protection. We have adopted a different approach to many conventional Rope Access companies. Our company personnel are first and foremost fully trained tradesmen, we then hand select the most suitable for Rope Access. We draw our ‘tradesman’ rope access personnel from our large supply of in house certified pipe welders, pipe fitters, riggers, and qualified painters who come with many years of experience in the field. Finally we blend the team by using the best rope access climbing riggers in the U.S. all qualified to IRATA* level 3, this makes our teams safe, fast, efficient and professional.
Quality assurance. We are fully compliant to the IRATA* standard - the benchmark rope access safety code of practice, Clark Engineering Construction, Inc. has a long standing working alliance with Dragon Safety Systems, the premier IRATA Rope Access company in our field.
Working closely together, we have developed specialty tools and techniques that have changed the way many perceive rope access, and more importantly save time and money, whilst increasing the level of safety.
